A training course in cybersecurity for refugees in Egypt funded by the Canadian embassy

Recently, a specialized training course in cybersecurity concluded, held in Egypt as part of a grant provided by the Canadian embassy, targeting a group of refugee women residing in the country, from various nationalities including Syria, Sudan, Yemen, and Eritrea. This course is part of ongoing efforts to empower refugee women through education and vocational training, as we believe that educating and empowering women is a necessary and fundamental step towards entering the labor market and avoiding unemployment, especially in light of the economic and social challenges they face. The course provided comprehensive training content in the fundamentals of cybersecurity, information protection, digital safety, and dealing with electronic threats, along with practical applications that enhance the participants' chances of obtaining jobs in technology fields. It concluded with the distribution of certificates to the participants, amid significant interaction and a clear desire to continue the professional path in modern technology fields. We aim to initiate a series of upcoming initiatives aimed at creating real opportunities for education and work for refugee girls and women, enabling them to build a more stable and independent future.
